d. Under frequency -- actual alarm (load dump).
16. Controls shall be included in the switchgear for the automatic "dumping of load"
by opening the outgoing feeder breakers in the switchgear in a pre-determined
field-adjustable sequence in the event that the system frequency drops sufficiently
to cause an alarm condition for a pre-determined period of time. Load shall be
"dumped" until system frequency is restored to normal.
17. Meters, instrument transformers and instrument switches shall be incorporated to
provide metering of:-
a. For each generator - the voltage between each pair of phases and
between each phase and neutral.
b. For each generator -- the current in each phase.
c. For each generator - the KW output.
d. For each generator - the frequency.
e. For each generator — running time meter.
f. For the system bus - the voltage between each pair of phases.
g- For system bus - the frequency.
h. For system bus — KW output.
I. For system bus — synchroscope
18. For each generator, a relay shall be incorporated independent of all other
functions which provides three open and three closed when generator running
contacts suitable for external alarm or sensing circuit use.
19. Provide the following status only lights:
Manual Paralleling Available Green Color
Bus Underfrequency Alarm Red Color
Load Shed Circuits Activated
(One for each priority) Amber Color
Load Shed Bypass
(One for each priority) Amber Color
Engine Generator Status Lights
