Provide form C (n/o-n/c) dry contacts for each of the above pre-alarms
and shutdowns for interface with the BMS system. Bring wiring out to a
set of terminals dedicated for this interface for the BMS contractor to
extend from.
The indications shall be of the manual reset type. An alarm silencing switch and "alarm
silenced" pilot light shall be included.
8. Controls shall be included in the switchgear for the tripping and lock-out of the
circuit breaker for each generator set in response to reverse power, over-current
or the failure to parallel.
9. Controls shall be included in the switchgear for the automatic disconnection of
generators from the switchgear bus in a pre-determined field adjustable sequence
as load falls, and the restoration of generators to the bus as it increases.
10. Controls shall be included in the switchgear for the simultaneous automatic
disconnection of all generators from the switchgear bus in response to the
activation of contacts indicating that all outlying automatic transfer switches have
retransferred to the "normal position".
11. Provisions shall be included in the switchgear for the field installation and wiring
of ground fault sensors, relays and monitor panels described elsewhere as part of
the ground fault interrupting system.
12. Controls shall be included in the switchgear to shut down each generator set after
an adjustable time delay period of five to twenty-five minutes following its discon
nection from the switchgear bus.
13. Provisions shall be included in the switchgear for the manual starting,
synchronizing and shutdown of each generator set, as well as the manual
operation of each generator circuit breaker and outgoing feeder circuit breaker.
14. Provisions shall be included in the switchgear for the testing of the automatic
starting and synchronizing sequence under "no load" conditions.
15. An audible signal and a visual indication shall be provided at the switchgear for
the following "system pre-alarm" and "system actual alarm" conditions:-
a. Low fuel in main tank — pre-alarm.
b. Over/Under voltage — pre-alarm.
c. Over frequency — pre-alarm.
