(2) Re: North Access Connection 10th Avenue Tunnel, Amtrak Borough of Manhattan Gentlemen: On September 23, 1983 30% progress plans for the subject project were transmitted to your agency for review and comment. The comments of the various affected agencies that were recieved either by letter or at the meeting held by this office on October 11, 1983, have been addressed by the consultant for ANTRAK and the MTA/LIRR in the preparation of the 95% progress plans for the project. As you will note, the proposed AMTRAK crossing of 10th Avenue, is a fairly deep cut-and-cover tunnel which is substantially beneath your facilities. A meeting has been scheduled to receive your comments as noted: Time: 10:00 Date: December 19, 1983 Place: 51 Chambers Street Room 412 Transmitted herewith are sets of 95% complete plans for the subject construction project, sent to you for comments in the area of your purview. It is requested that you or your representative present your comments on this matter, at this meeting. It you feel that your agency's facilities are not affected and that your representation is not necessary, I would appreciate receiving your written approval prior to the meeting date. Your expeditions review of this project will be appreciate.
