Dear Sir:,

In reply to your suDinission of structural computations for fhe sewer chamber J with a letter dated May 29, 1984, please he advised of the following comments of this department:

1. The thickness of the roof slab for the proposed chamber, shall be ! 12” minimum. The value of fs used to compute, steel for roof slab, invert sl>ab-and walls shall be 20 k.s.i. and not 24 -k.s.i.

2. The_precast reinforced concrete slab can not be lifted by sewer _ . I maintenance people due to its present proposed size. The design . of the slab shall be changed to provide a standard'-removable J.- 3

slab with the dhnfiguration of the sewer chamber changed as marked in red on the plans. I fi'

3. The invert slab should be checked for shear and bond- •I 4. The invert slab has been again designed as a two way slab although our connnent No. 3 (i) of our letter February’ 21, 1984 specifically pointed that all slabs shall be designed one way. I Please revise your structural computations in accordance with the above t comments and submit three (3) sets of corrected computations and contract Ji drawings for our review and approval.
