5.0 Architectural Design Progress

3 1 SHCA reviewed plan revisions requested by OEM on the S Ll issuance which are SHCA reflected on the 01/1.5/98 progres.s D.D. plan presented. OEM approved layout .shown 3.2 OEM confirmed that local UPS battery packs will be utilized instead cf a single UPS SHCA'OEM/ battery room. OEM'SM&W reported that the LAN Room will grow in size to take up SM&W & CA the UPS program area. A pre-action sprinkler system closet will be required for the LAN Room. SHCA/CA to incorporate closet in layout. 3.3 OEM confirmed Press Room layout and floor elevations shown and approved by OEM on the S.D. issuance 12/12/98 is correct as shown. 3.4 SHCA reported that Motorola has reviewed and approved the Watch Command Center room layout as shown on the 01/15/98 progress D.D. plan 35 SHCA requested an updated equipment list for all equipment (i c. -computers, printers, OEM fax, copiers, radios, etc.). OEM to provide updated list and cuts of equipment. 3.6 OEM presented a preliminary marked-up plan indicating the layout of 10 functional groups (PD, FD, etc.) at the 12/05/97 meeting OEM agreed to issue and distribute this information by 12/08/97. Information has not issued to date. 3.7 SHCA requested at the 12/05/97 meeting both Level 3 and DIAKf security' OEM specifications for their use. OEM to provide. SHCA stated at the 12/0.5/97 meeting that the proposed OHM security OEM consultanL'vendor who will, assist OEM to develop a detailed program, drawings and specifications, so that, the security work can be coordinated by the SHCA project team continues to need resolution. Per ‘die 01/16/9S meeting with DCAS/SPl'OEM'SHCA OEM will arrange for the consultant/’vendor to meet and review required scope of security consultant services for this project f No action to date.] 3.g Per tlie SPI comments to the 12/12/97 S D. plan, SHCAhas revised partitions to SHCAk minimize partitions tying directly into exterior window mullions. SHCA hits resolved all conditions but two locations shown on the 01/15/98 plan. Upon review with AC, it appears a mutually agreed upon detail is feasible. [Upon Sold review of condition o.n 01'16/98, SHCAAC confumed that the exterior wall on this floor is e.xterior glazed not interior glazed and a partition tying directly to the mullion is not an issue.] 3.9 SHCA stated that there were several outstanding coordination issue required to be SHCA'SPI discussed wdth SPI & AC (i e.- Roof Radio Room, rooftop antennas (approx. 30) and microwave dishes (2), fuel oil tank location and coordination, etc.) SHCA'SPh'AC/CA/SM&W/DCAS agreed to meet on 01/16/98 to discuss these issues in a technical coordination meeting. SHCA reported that C..A is studyhng the use of supplemental dry cooling towers on the 23"* Floor as requested by SPI

3.10 SHCA reported that the 7* Floor Partial Plan (01/12/98) with the emergency generator and water tank locations have been reviewed by C.'S and is structurally feasible. SPI has approved this architecturai layout. OEKf/DCAS also reviewed and approved this layout.
