I CITY OF NEW YORK DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION BUREAU OF SEWERS INTER-DEPARTMENT MEMORANUDM

DATE: November 23, 1983

TO: MAGDI FARAG, P.E., CHIEF, ENGINEERING REVIEW SECTION FROM: GORDON YEE, P.E., ACTING CHIEF, PRIVATE DRAINAGE REVIEW SECTION SUBJECT: NORTH ACCESS CONNECTION, lOTH AVENUE AMTRAK TUNNEL, MTA #1-02-21064-0-0 BOROUGH OF MANHATTAN

This is in reply to your transmittal of plans for the replacement of an existing 4’-0" x 2’-8" combined sewer with a new proposed 30" R.C.P. sewer in 10th Avenue south of W.32nd Street, with a memo dated November 17, 1983.

Our review of the subject proposal indicates that the proposed 30" R.C.P. sewer section is adequate to accept the computed flow of 30.7 c.f.s. from the contributary area of 6.5 acres, since the proposed sewer^ capacity will be 37.0 c.f.s. Therefore we have no objection to this proposal.
