Access Issues: Access to Red Zone will be changing as of .2400 hrs on Friday Sept. 28, 2001. DEP employees will no longer need a Red Pass to access tire Red Zone. DEP identification plus another form of photo ID is all that will be required.

Contractors, to DEP will be required to obtain the new White Pass. V,ntiie Passes can be obtained by faxing / e-mailing a list of the na:aes of individuals and the company they work .for to liic DEP desk at OEM. Update: Request fur air snmpUug by Lilian Fernandez. Chief of S ttslT, OEM PB spoke to L Fernandez. .She didn't know specific.'; but will look into it. PB advised that DEP will wait until ftirther information is available.

Freon chillers - Update: Concern has been raised that the fire tn the piie may adversely impact the Freon .storage tanks. FDNY to decide at 7 AM. on 9/2S if they will conduct a recon of dm chiller room via the Path tuniiel. General consensus was not to ny to remove the freon from the tanks unless there is a serious threat of a significant release. z Truck routes: PB re-emphasized ths importance of establishing defined truck routes and better wash-down procedures. PB suggested that OEM take the lead on this since it .seems not to be moving forward.
