Stray Current Invest^ation

Update: TA & DEP conducted site visit. TA said that they don’t have anything in the area but are willing to test the main (via the fire hydrants) and the service line to the sampling stations for a current. Testing of the sample station service line will require digging to the service. Doug - Wko do you use when investigating currents?

Salome Freud Drinking Water Quality informed me ofelevated levels ofcopper in water collectedfrom san^le stations located on Water Street between Wall St ai^ Fletcher St. Likely cause is a stray DC current in the ca-ea, F3 contacted ConEd and TA Subwe^s and asked about any DC they may htrve in the area. ConEd said they don’t have ary DC in the area, TA will conduct investigation on Monday. TA will contact EOC to make specific arrangements.

FEMA requests meeting regarding permits and the demolition of WTC

Update: Has anyone arranged a meeting with Tranter? Robert Tranter, Regional Environmental Officer, FEMA, (646-745-1235, e-mail: robert.traraer^ema.gov) has asked to meet with appropriate Bureau representatives regarding DEPpermitting issues and the demolition ofthe WTC complex. TVanter is looking to meet at Pier 90 on Thursday or Friday yfthis week. Please have an appropriate personfrom yoto" Bureau contact IVanter directly. Please let know of any meeting arranged.
