Stray Current Investigation

Update: X^erizon placed a cell phone tower at the location on Sept 12 or 13. Their engineers investigated the site and reported no unusual conditions. TA was to conduct an 1 investigation today. No report provided yet. /

■r Salome Freud Drinking Water Quality/ informed me of elevated levels of copper in water collectedfrom sample stations located on Water Street benveen Wall St and Fletcher St. Likely cause is a stray DC current in the area. PB contacted ConEd and TA Subways and asked about any DC they may have in the area. ConEd said they don't have any DC in the area, TA will conduct investigation on Monday. TA will contact EOC to make specifc arrangements.

FEMA requests meeting regarding periaits and the demolition of WTC

Update; Tranter’s phone number was not coirect. I contacted him by e-mail. Tm awcUting a response.

Robert Tranter. Regional Environmental Officer, FEM.4, (646-745-1235, e-mail: [email protected]) has asked to meet with appropriate Bureau representatives regarding DEP permitting issues and the demolition of the hf^C complex. 7'ranter is looking to meet at Pier 90 on 'Thursday or Friday of this week. Please have an appropriate person from your Bureau contact Tranter directly. Please let me know of any meeting arranged.

Site Fence OEM asked several city agencies including DEP to participate in a site walk-through prior to placement of an 8 it high plywood fence around the site (map provided previously). BWSO and EMRP to attend.

Health and Safety meeting

New FDNY Command reorganized FDNY has reorganized ground zero command into two sectors plus the Incident Command Post (ICP). The locations of the Command Posts ar e: Vesy & West - A doublewide trailer, red Liberty & Church - A doublewide trailer, red Duane, btw Church and Broadway - ICP (at fire house).
