RE: North Access Connection, 10th Avenue Tunnel Amtrak, Borough of Manhattan

Dear Sir:

In reply to, your submittal of 95Z plans with a letter dated November 10, 1983 on the above referenced project, please be advised of the following specific commetns of this department:

A) Drawing No. C-Ul;

1. Show stationing and invert elevations at all existing manholes.

2. Show the existing sewer exactly as per MTA Contract No. 1-02-21064-0-0 ie, locations where it is plugged, abandoned etc.

3. Label the drain and expansion joint manhole.

B) Drawing No. C-D2:

1. Manhole No. 2 should be pressure relief manhole and not type A-1 manhole. Submit details.

2. Manhole No. 1 should be a chamber and not type A-2 manhole. Submit details and structural computations.

C) Drawing No. C-UTl:

1. Show stationing of manhole No. 1 and existing manhole.

-2. Manhole No. 1 will be a chamber and M.H. 2 will be a pressure relief manhole.

3. Show angle of deflection between the proposed 24" and 30" R.C.P. class III pipes at proposed manhole No. 1.
