TO: MAGDI PARAG, P.E., CHIEF, ENGINEERING REVIEW SECTION FROM: NOLAN J. LAU, P.E., CHIEF, PRIVATE DRAINAGE REVIEW SECTION SUBJECT: PROPOSED SEWER RELOCATION IN CONJUNCTION WITH NEW SUBWAY INTERCONNECTION, 3RD AVENUE AT 60TH STREET - BOROUGH OF MANHATTAN -

In conjunction with the subject proposal, kindly advise the filing engineer to Include the following items in his revised submission: 1. Complete hydraulic analysis verifying the adequacy of the proposed replacement pipe to accc odate the existing upstream flow with no adverse effects on the downstream system. Said analysis must include plan and longitudinal profile views of the new piping and a comparison of the hydraulic grade lines for the existing and new piping. 2. A section view of the new subway interconnection in a NE/SW direction.

3. A means of acco □dating the street drainage at 60th Street and 3rd Avenue. 4. A modification to the new sewer alignment such that the pipe does not traverse private property at the northeast corner of 3rd Avenue and 60th Street. Please note that if this re­ alignment is not physically possible due to the elevations J of the new substructure, a permanent sewer easement must be established about the portion of pipe in private property.
