TO: MAGDI FARAG, P.E., CHIEF, ENGINEERING REVIEW SECTION FROM: NOLAN J. LAU, P.E., ACTING CHIEF, PRIVATE DRAINAGE REVIEW SECTION SUBJECT: WORLD TRADE CENTER - DEY STREET UNDERPASS - MANHATTAN
As per your request for expenditious consideration of the subject proposal we have performed the modifications to the hydraulic analysis which were previously requested in our memo of January 14, 1980. Be advised that the proposed sewer relocation is hydraulically accept able. Our review indicates that the proposed 15" replacement sewer in Dey Street between new manhole #3 and Church Street has sufficient capacity to handle the existing sanitary and storm flows. It is recommended that the existing size of 3'-6" x 2'-4" be retained for the relocated section between new manholes Nos. 1 and 3. However, the proposed size of 18" at this location is hydraulically adequate.
