Following a telephone convar&atlon with you#t<hj£ -afternoon I an adjowe■ 7 diameter sewer In the Park Avenue Tunnel at 59th Street. On wach- ’drawing 1 have circled in red the area under considera tion.
Pl-e^e note the Toilowing facts:. .
1. The new columns carry lighter dead load (of road deck) than existing columns to be removed. 2. New columns are all in the same line with respect to the existing sewer as the existing columns. 3. Footings^which are typical^have been designed for a maximum of 4 kips per square foot.
I shall appreciate your prompt, reply regarding ypur approval or comments oh the proposed hew columns.
