15. The NADCA-certified ASCS shall make a recommendation to building management as to whether removal and replacement of air filters within the AC/ventilation system fan unit or ducts is warranted. It shall be the responsibility of building management to provide replacement filters. With building management’s approval, remove and replace the air filters if necessary.

16. Disengage the local capture system and relocate to another section of the duct to be cleaned.

17. Prior to dismantling work area preparations, clean interior walls of temporary containments using wet-wiping or HEPA vacuum methods.

18. Occupied areas or common areas in which fan unit cleaning is accomplished, will be cleaned as common spaces using the common space unit prices, immediately after the HVAC cleaning is complete.

19. Place waste and debris into 6 mil polyethylene bags for disposal as asbestos-containing waste.

20. Perform all duct cleaning work in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.

21. All work will be accomplished by DEP certified Asbestos Handlers.

22. All work will be supervised by a DEP certified Asbestos Handler Supervisor.

23. All work will be overseen by a NADCA certified ASCS or equivalent.

24. Workers will utilize */2 face APR’s equipped with P-100 filters, eye protection and full body coveralls during the cleaning process.
