The Asbestos Contractor shall supply airless sprayers of sufficient type and quantity to
keep the area spray misted at all times and to adequately wet down all asbestos material.
G. Waste Water Filtration System:
The wastewater filtration system must be capable of filtration to Sum via a series of filters
with progressively smaller pore sizes.
H. Waste Disposal Equipment:
Carts: Plastic leak-tight carts of sufficient quantity shall be provided by the Abatement
Contractor in order to safely, discreetly and efficiently transport the materials through the
building to the dumpster. Double-bagged ACM shall be covered with 6-mil polyethylene
sheeting while being transported from the worksite to the dumpster.
5. CONTRACTOR’S RESPONSIBILITIES
The Abatement Contractor shall be responsible for, but not be limited to, the following:
A. Maintaining certified fire-watch personnel as required by NYC regulations and/or
the Client’s requirements.
B. Construction of the “A” level decontamination units, with lockable doors and
construction barriers and other rigid enclosures.
C. All costs incurred as the result of the failure of clearance testing, including but not
limited to additional air sampling costs.
D. Employee personal air monitoring.
E. Any time lost as a result of labor disputes.
F. GFI panels.
G. Temporary plumbing work.
H. Replacing, repairing and refinishing all panels, windows, doors or other items
which are a part of the base building, altered or removed to enable the execution
of the work under this contract.
