Additionally, Air Monitoring continues in the WTC perimeter as well as in the 5 boros.
All testing has resulted in normal background levels.

Battery Park City Update:
Update on Saturday Night/Sunday Morning Clean-Up:
DEP recommends that DOH needs to convey the importance of properly evaluating the
properties in and around Battery Park City. Careful evaluation of the properties will result
in limiting human exposure & liabilities, DEP t “lieves that Battery Park City’s premature
statement that the area was ready for reoccupancy had an adverse effect which resulted in
much needed resources getting pulled from the area, EPA has expressed similar
