2. A guidance document for clean-up activities was developed on September 14,2001. Distribution was begun today.
3. An emergency project notification was received September 14,2001 for clean-up activities at 140 West Street (Verizon). Response was scheduled today. The NYCFD evacuated the building.. The condition of the structure is under evaluation.
4. The owner’s representative for 106 Duane Street and 217 Broadway contacted the ALCP for on-site assistance. Response to the site was attempted but ALCP was unable to approach the area due to gas leak. Only Con Edison staff was permitted in the vicinity.
5. Written and telephone requests were received for emergency asbestos handler certification. Procedures are being developed to provide daily examinations.
6. Air sampling activities were coordinated for the five roof top locations outside the WTC vicinity. The Bronx site was confirmed at 9:15 p.m. on September 14,2001. Sampling at this site began today and results will be available by 9:00 a.m, tomorrow. Analytical results for September 14,2001 are attached.
