Smyth, Virginia From: Chacon, Emily [[email protected]] Sent: Friday, June 28, 2002 1:46 PM To: Hagerty, Steve; Barry, Paul Cc: '[email protected]' Subject: Status of Interior Building Cleaning PW

Steve and Paul, I spoke this morning with Virginia Smyth a DEP regarding revisions to the Interior Building Cleaning PW. We discussed the following items: 1. Revised cost estimates for cleaning and testing. Virginia will send the cost breakdowns for these new estimates this afternoon. 2. Bid for the Call Center work. Virginia has faxed over the cost breakdown for this bid. Virginia will send us the final contract when it has been processed. 3. Scopes of work for hotline, testing and cleaning. We have the final scope for the hotline. EPA is still finalizing the scopes for the cleaning and the testing. These two scopes are scheduled to be completed today. Virginia will send these scopes to FEMA as soon as they are received. 4. Insurance costs. The new estimates include costs for normal contractor insurance costs. They do not include costs for any additional insurance that the City may deem necessary. Paul will call Dep. Commissioner Avaltroni to ask if the City has come to a decision regarding additional insurance coverage. 5. Unoccupied Building Cleaning. The original draft of the Interior Building Cleaning PW did not include this work. Virginia will check to see if DEP was expecting to include the newly estimated $5m for unoccupied building cleaning in the Interior Building Cleaning PW as well as send any scope iand cost information regarding this work as it becomes available. As of now, this $5m will not be included in the PW for Interior Building Cleaning._ Please let me know if you have any questions or if there are additional issues that need to be addressed with DEP. Thanks, Emily
