GENERAL COMMENTS:

1. The pages of the environmental air monitoring plan still need to be numbered and the Table of Contents should reference the page that a specific section can be found.

Done.

2. Airtek still needs to provide a complete Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP) that provides details on Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) for all sampling and analysis activities to be conducted, not just the air sampling, during the abatement and demolition of the buildings.

Please see Revised QAPP in Part II, Attachment D of the submittal.

SPECIFIC COMMENTS:

Subsection 1.4 Environmental Sampling and Analytical Methodologies

3. Change "or" to "for" in the 5t' line after, "...24-hour work period, except..."

Subsection 3.2 Community Air Monitoring

4. The Environmental Community Air Monitoring Plan does not include the figure showing the anticipated locations of the air monitoring stations in Attachment A as stated in the plan. Include this figure.

Figure has been added based on site walkthrough w/EPA.

5. The second paragraph only discusses locating air monitors at two locations: the roof of the school auditorium on Cedar Street and the sidewalk bridge on Thames Street. However, the Response to Comments states the following: "The locations include the roof of the school auditorium on Cedar Street, the top of the sidewalk bridge on Thames Street east of the site, and across Thames Street at ground level at the Greenwich Street intersection." Please clarify and revise the Environmental Community Air Monitoring Plan based on the site visit conducted between EPA and Airtek on September 7, 2005. The original June 2005 submission noted that an air monitoring station would be located
