In keeping with our promise to provide you with written updates on where we are with ongoing building projects and concerns, we provide the following:

1. Additional testing was performed in the common areas for metal, lead, dioxins, PCB's, voc's, chromium, fiberglass and asbestos. The results received to date are for lead, asbestos and fiberglass, of which none were found in the building. The remaining test results should be in by early next week. In addition, a sampling of apartments were tested for asbestos and/or metals. So far, test results indicate there are no asbestos fibers in those apartments sampled and we are hopeful that the metal results will be in by the end of this week as well. Air testing will continue for those apartments who request it and we will continue to provide the results as timely as possible.

2. A professional cleaning company was hired to clean the lobby, fitness center, laundry room and all corridors, including wallpaper, and the work has been completed.

3. RMC staff is continuing to remove all apartment HVAC units and, using wet methods, will clean behind the sleeves and backside of the units, including filters. We have just recently started receiving shipments of the new custom made HVAC filters we informed you in our previous correspondence we would look into and have begun installing them as they come in. These filters are made of antimicrobial, non- carcinogenic polyester media and have a frictional efficiency of 75% for particles of 2 microns and approximately 50% for 1-micron particles. The first delivery has been installed in apartments that had been specifically requested by residents, and the balance will be now installed from the top of the building and down until complete.

4. We have hired a mechanical hygiene contractor who will begin cleaning the air ducts and vent lines in the building. The contractor was pre-qualified by our consultant. The scope of work will require the contractor to be in every apartment 3 times and potentially more in those apartments with 2 bathrooms. The first time will be to remove the vent grills and to place a poly covering over the opening. The grills will be bagged and cleaned in the basement areas. The duct horizontal connections to the vertical vents will then be cleaned starting at the top of the building and working down, or from the bottom up depending on the stack design. The vertical stacks will then be cleaned from the top down, followed by a final fine cleaning of the horizontal connections and reinstallation of the vent grills. The contractor will also be using the same protocol to clean all common area ducts and equipment.
