Re: Summary of the EEnvironraental Laboratory Test Results for 450 North Find Avenue

On Friday, September 14, 2001 and Thursday, September 20, 2001, an environmental survey was conducted in Tribeca Bridge Tower. The survey was conducted by Kenneth Friedman. certified NYC and NYS asbestos investigator.

The survey was conducted to determine if any ofthe dust that entered the building from the terrorist attack at the World Trade Center contains hazardous materials.

!haring the survey. sample apartments were inspected for the pre.;enee of dust. Apartments racing each direction were inspected. Public areas such as the lobby, corridors, elevator, health club etc., were also inspected.

Bulk (dust) samples were collected from window sills, furniture, floors etc. in locations where there was visible evidence of dust that entered the building. Air samples were collected inside apartments and public areas.

'the bulk samples were brought to the laboratory, Eastern Analytical lcic. for ammalysis by Polarized Light Microscope. The air samples were analyzed in the Shaindel Fnvir•nnmenta; Consulting, Inc. laboratory by Phase Contrast Microscope.

The Legal requirements state that any bulk (dust) sample containing greater that 1.0% asbestos is classified as a positive sat-nple requiring licensed abatement. Likewise, quantities greater than 0.01 tibers per cubic centimeter from an air sample exceeds Federal and State aixborne asbestos regulations.

The summary of the results indicate the following:

The air r;arnple% inside the building indicate airborne levels less than 0.01 #fibers per cubic centimeter. The bulk samples inside the building contain less than 1.0% asbestos. No licensed abatement is requird.
