Re: Summary of the environmental laboratory test results from 450 North End Ave.

On Thursday September 20, 2001 an environmental survey was conducted in Tribeca Bridge Tower. The survey was conducted by Kenneth Friedman, certified NYS and US-EPA lead based paint inspector.

The survey was conducted to determine if any of the dust that entered the building from the terrorist attack at the World Trade Center contains hazardous lead.

During the survey, sample apartments were inspected for the presence of dust. Apartments facing each direction were inspected. Public areas such as the lobby, corridors, elevator, health club etc., were also inspected.

Lead dust wipe samples were collected from window sills and, floors in locations where there was visible evidence of dust that entered the building.

The wipe samples were brought to the laboratory Eastern Analytical Inc. for analysis

The US-EPA Legal requirements state that any lead dust sample containing greater the following is classified as a positive sample requiring licensed abatement.

Floors: 40.0 micrograms of lead per square foot (ug/sq2) Window Sills 250.0 micrograms of lead per square foot (ug/sq2)

The summary of the results indicate the following:

The samples inside the building indicate lead dust wipe levels in compliance with the US-EPA guidelines.

No licensed lead dust abatement is required.
