Enclosed please find the analytical results for Lead in Dust sampling conducted at
114 Liberty Street, New York, NY.
All samples were collected by JLC Environmental Consultants, Inc. (JLC) at the request of New
York City D.E.P..
All samples were analyzed by JLC Environmental Consultants, using an Atomic Absorption
Spectrometer, equipped with an Air-Acetylene flame and background correction in accordance with
the HUD "Guidelines for the Evaluation and Control of Lead-Based Paint Hazardous House"
Appendix 14.2 and the Environmental Protection Agency Method, EPA SW846-3050/7420.
The current HUD Guidelines define the Leaded Dust Clearance levels (by wipe sampling)
are:
40ug/ft2 for floors (includes carpeted and uncarpeted floors); 250ug/ft2 for Interior window sills;
400ug/ft2 for window troughs (previously called "window wells" in the literature), and 400ug/ft2
for
exterior concrete surfaces.
