Re: Pace University Property 41 Park Row and 1 Pace Plaza NY, NY

Dear Mr. Radhakrishnan,

On behalf of Pace University, in response to your letter dated February 15, 2002, we are providing you with two reports, which summarize asbestos testing data related to Pace Plaza and 41 Park Row.

Both of these building's physical barriers (windows, doors, walls, and roof) were not broken as a result of the collapse of the World Trade Center. No bulk debris was present inside either building. Accumulations of dust was present in some dorm rooms, where windows were open, within I Pace Plaza. Bulk samples of dust were collected from these areas. All interior spaces of both buildings were thoroughly cleaned using wet methods in accordance with the instructions for cleaning dust accumulations (light coating) defined in the NYC DEP letter issued to building owners dated September 14, 2001 (attached).

Pace continues to conduct air sampling for asbestos and other airborne contaminates in these buildings. A summary of that data is attached for your review.

It is the intent of Pace University to be in exact conformance with the Department of Environmental Protection's requirements and requests related to this matter. Therefore, please contact me at 215.496.9237 if any additional action is required in response to the subject letter.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely, ~ rporation

David R. de Lalla rte
