Re: • Summary of the Environmental Laboratory Test Results for 450 North End Avenue

On .Friday. September 14, 2001 and Thursdayy. September 20, 2001, an environmental survey was conducted in Tribeca Bridge Tower. The survey was conducted by Kenneth Friedman. certified NYC and NYS asbestos investigator.

The surrey was conducted to determine if any of the dust that entered the building from the terrorist: attack at the World Trade Center contains hazardous materials.

During the survey, sample apartments were inspected for the presence of dust. Apartments facing each direction were inspected. Public areas such as the lobby, corridors, elevator, health club etc., were also inspected.

Bulk (dust) samples were collected from window sills, furniture. floors etc. in locutions where there was visible evidence of dttst that entered the building. Air samples were collected inside apartments and public areas.

The bulk samples were brought to the laboratory, Eastern Analytical Inc. for analysis by Polarized Light Microscope. The air samples were analyzed in the Shaindel Environmental Consulting, Inc. laboratory by Phase Contrast Microscope.

The Legal requirements state that any bulk. (dust) sample containing greater that 1.0% asbestos is classified as a positive sample requiring licensed abatement. Likewise, quantities greater than 0.01 fibers per cubic centimeter from an air sample exceeds Federal and State airborne asbestos regulations.

The summary of the results indicate the following:

The air samples inside the building indicate airborne levels less than 0.01 fibers per cubic centimeter. The bulk simples inside the building contain less than 1.0% asbestos. No licensed abatement is required.
