The building of New York City's, Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) is located at 100 Gold Street, approximately four blocks away.

Dust entered the ventilation system of the building through louvers and exhaust vents. The ventilation system carried this dust and pulverized debris throughout the building. In addition, the lobby of 100 Gold Street was also used as a relief center to provide equipment, food, shelter, change of clothes, and supplies for displaced citizens and rescue personnel working at the WTC site. Dust and debris was carried into 100 Gold Street by the displaced citizens and rescue personnel that were covered in dust and pulverized debris. Because of the nature of the disaster, custodial services were necessary to rnaintain cleanliness of the facility.

SCOPE OF WORK Work complete consists of the clean up of the interior of 100 Gold Street while the relief center was open. PBM/CMSI had a contractual agreement with Newmark (who has a contractual agreement with HPD to provide building maintenance at 100 Gold Street) to perform work related to the clean up of the building.

PBM/CMSI provided labor and equipment to perform clean up of the building while the on-site relief center was open. Clean up of the basement, lobby, and each floor was conducted by 12 different laborers from September IT. 2001 until September 23, 2001. Air monitoring and analysis was not done in conjunction to this work. Clean up of this building consisted of janitorial services to remove pulverized dust and debris that entered the building from the WTC disaster and to clean up from debris and dust tracked in from rescue personnel and displaced citizens throughout the building.
