• Expect to finish at the beginning of October. 4. Cncleaned and Unoccupied Buildings • 125 Cedar Street: The contracts went out to the bidders today. It is expected that the cleaning will start on September 9*’’ and be completed within three weeks. • 114 Liberty Street: The Condo Board needs to meet to approve the cleaning contracts. • 30 West Broadway: The owner is trying to decide wether to clean or demolish the building.

5. Lower Manhattan Cleaning • The hotline has been extended to October 2"‘*. • The pre-bidders conference for the cleaning contracts was held on August 20'*’. • EPA expects the field work to begin in Early September.

6. COPC Update • The Peer Review Panel will be meeting on October 14“* and 15“’. • The final draft documents must be delivered to TERA by August 30'“. • Informal peer review has returned favorable comments.

7. Database Registry • The committee me t last week to finalize the protocol and the questionnaire. • The website should be online by the end of September. • The interviews will be the largest cost item. • NYCDOH is working with ATSDR through federal contractors. • The pre-bidders conference will be held this week. • It is anticipated that around 150,000 people will be enrolled in the registry. • The boundaries for the highest levels of exposure are below Canal Street for some and below Chambers Street for others. • The registry will be used for future health-related studies.

8. FEM A Funding • EPA signed an Interagency Agreement with FEMA for funding. • The Red Cross has decided that they will only reimburse tenants for personal materials disposed of if the tenants can show financial need. EPA is researching other ways to get additional funds.

9. Other Issues • The Deutsche Bank building owner still has not decided on the cleaning or demolition of the building. Debris still remains on the building and Deutsche Bank does not want to be held responsible for the disposal of potentially hazardous materials. • The ATSDRVNYCDOH Indoor Air Report has been finalized. It should be available on CD for TERA by August 30“’.
