On February 27th from 12-2pm in the 110 William 4th Floor Conference Center, SDC will host a presentation facilitated by the Mayor's Office of Emergency Management to inform staff working on World Trade Center Business Retention Grants (large and small companies) oh infrastructure issues in Lower Manhattan. As our initial conversations with companies located in the area have indicated concerns re: street oioaings, telecom service, security and transporation, OEM has suggested inviting the Department of Transportation, the Department of Environmental Protection, the Department of Design and Construction, the Metropolitan Transit Authority, ConEdison, Verizon and the Pore Authority for an informational presentation on technical infrastructure (things like the how, what, where, why and when of rerouting energy lines previously served by the WTC substation). Given the difficulty in bringing so many knowledgable groups together for any extended period of time, speakers will have only 5 or 10 minutes to brief EDC and ESD staff. A QsA will follow, but in order to make the most effective use of this time, please begin to compile the questions and concerns of the companies you are working with. Include anything you have come accross, but please keep in mind that this session should not address information in the playbook, but rather provide Us with knowledge in-depth enough to manage our clients' expectations on techrdcal matters. Department heads, if you could please compile and sand questions and concerns encountered by your staffs to Sara Fenske by 12pra on Friday, February 15- Questions should be sorted by the following: Transportation {subsorted by; Pedestrian Traffic, Passenger, Commercial, Mass), Air Quality/Environmental, Street Closings, Parks/Open Space, Utilities, Phone Service, and Other.
