Key Public Service Area; Ensure the sufficiency, quality and security of the City’s water supply.

Critical Objective: Monitor water to ensure compliance with Federal and State water quality standards. • Water samples collected and analyzed (In-city and Upstate) as a percentage of those required. • Results of water sampling. (Percent of samples meeting water quality standards)

Critical Objective: Protect and secure the watershed area. • Applications for regulated activities reviewed. • Protection inspections conducted. • Violations, warnings, etc. issued and % corrected. • DEP Police activities, i.e. security checks, patrol activity.

Critical Objective: Promote water conservation. • Meter installations as % of target and/or % of accounts with meters installed. • Average daily in-city water consumption and/or per capita consumption.

Key Public Service Area; Treat wastewater and sewage to maintain public health standards.

Critical Objective: Comply with Federal and State standards for the treatment of wastewater and complete wastewater treatment plant upgrades. • Percent of WWTP effluent meeting Federal standards. • Percent compliance with State standard for dissolved oxygen at harbor survey stations. • On-time status of upgrades.

Key Public Service Area; Repair and maintain in-city water delivery and sewer collection systems.

Critical Objective; Respond to emergencies and perform repairs in a timely manner. • Number of Water Main Breaks • Sewer Backup Resolution Time • Percent of Sewer Backups resolved in twenty-four hours • Number of Sewer Backup complaints resolved • Leak Resolution Time (does not include leaks on service lines) • Percent of Leak complaints resolved requiring excavation within thirty days • Number of Leaks Resolved (including leaks on service lines)

Critical Objective; Maintain the integrity of the water supply distribution system.
