TALKING POINTS World Trade Center Comprehensive Indoor Cleanup Program May 8,2002
• EPA and our federal, state and city partners have launched a comprehensive program to ensure that apartments impacted by the collapse of the World Trade Center have been properly cleaned.

• The situation has not been static over the past eight months. Much has already been done by government agencies, building owners and individuals to clean up homes and businesses in Lower Manhattan. The actions announced today will provide farther assurance that interior spaces have been cleaned properly and will verify and possibly refine recommended cleaning techniques.
• All of EPA’s actions in response to the collapse of the World Trade Center have been based on sound science and have been taken to protect people’s health and the’ environment.
