•. . '' World Trade Center Emergency Response Inspections conducted on September 23, 2001 - Carlstien Lutchmedial
310 Greenwich St- Met with Superintendent Vincent Hernandez . He said that the building did not get any of the debris from the WTC incident. We were unable to get into any of the apartments with windows. Inspection of the roof revealed that it was free of any suspect material. I was able to look into the terraces of the south side of the building from the roof and did not see any suspect debris. Also the surrounding yard of the building did not have any suspect material.
100 Church Street - At the building I met Frederick B. Maier and John Leonard of L VI Environmental Services Inc and Joseph Cianci of Ambient Group. Cianci said that he was currently sampling each floor and taking ten bulk samples per floor. They said they were
••I there to provide the owner with a bid for the clean up. LVI said there plan was to put the entire building under negative air and do the cleanup. I also spoke to Marc Stein • • • • • • the building owner. He said that he was presently accepting bids from various contractors. He estimates that the clean-up project should not take more than three weeks.
217 Broadway - I met Scott Lawler the Property Manager. He said that at this time the contractor AA Services did not get approval to bring their truck into the area so the cleanup did not start. AA is first scheduled to do the roof then the interior of the building.
222 Broadway - Building locked.
90 West Street/140 Cedar Street/21 Albany Street- Met with James Hall of Trade Winds Environmental Restoration Inc. he informed me that they were hired to pump out the water from the basement of the building. This building did not have power at this time. The water was being pumped into the sewer.
40 Rector Street - I met Joe Kelleher the Property Manager. At this time PAL was on site cleaning the roof and changing HV AC filters. He said that they were awaiting the insurance adjusters to evaluate the damage and hopefully Monday September 23, 2001 the clean up can begin.
33 Maiden Lane - the Chief Engineer Walter Sheering was on site. He took me to the 5111 floor where I met Kenneth W. Houseman of Quest - 3rd party air monitor. Houseman informed me that they were currently working on the second tloor. We proceeded to the second floor where I observed workers HEPA and wet wiping surfaces. The windows on the floor 2, 3. & 5 are sealed windows. Houseman explained that the cleaning they were doing were to err on the safe side because of the positive sample obtained. This sample most likely came from debris that was tracked into the building. I did not sec any suspect dchris of any of the surfaces.
