1. Call FEMA to Register VSO0-621-3362

2, Tell them you want to be reimbursed for a MEPAvac, Air Purifier and/or Air Conditioner

3. FEMA win pass this information on to the New York Stats Individual & Family Grants (IFG) program

4. Ths IFG will send you some forms whhin 2 weeks.

Fili cut the forms and send 2 other documents:

a. Letter form insurance company denying coverage (v^hen you call FEMA they will ask K you have in5.urance)

b. QclQlnal receipt ot th© item purchased

6. The IFG will send you a check.

RgMEMggR: You have to purchase the item first. PEMA & IFG will not provide funding to purchase these Items. Red Cross and other agenclec are no longer providing these either. NOTE’. Air Conditioners are reimbursable, but there Is a limit to how much each household will be reimbursed (they won’t say what this figure Is).
