I 1. 2. Call FEMA to Register 1 -800-621 -3362 Tell them you want to be reimbursed for a HEPAvac, Air Purifier and/or Air Conditioner
3. FEMA will pass this information on to the New York State Individual & Family Grants (IFG) program 4. The IFG will send you some forms within 2 weeks. 5, Fili out the forms and send 2 other documents: a. Letter form insurance company denying coverage (when you call FEMA they will ask If you have insurance)
b. lal receipt of the item purchased
6. The IFG will send you a check.
REMEMBER; You have to purchase the item first. FEMA & IFQ will not provide funding to purchase these Items. Red Cross and other agencies are no longer providing these either. NOTE; Air Conditioners are reimbursable, but there is a limit to how much each household will be reimbursed (they won’t say what this figure Is).
