Springfield Gardens Industrial Park (Air Freight Area) (a/k/a SE-727); Queens Springfield Gardens Residential Areas (a/k/a SE-727A and SE-727B); Queens The next meeting of the Springfield Gardens Task Force team of DEP, Department of Design and Construction(DDC) and the Economic Development Corporation(EDC) is scheduled for Thursday, January 18, 2001. At the last meeting of the Task Force on January 4, 2001, DEP's OEPA Office reported that the wetlands mitigation plan was completed and Department of Environmental Conservation(DEC) has informally accepted the proposal. Upon final submission of the Environmental Assessment Statement (EAS) and mitigation plan and following the appropriate public notice period, DEC is expected to issue their permit.

A meeting was held with Council Member Stabile, community residents, and representatives from the Department of Design and Construction(DDC), the Queens Borough President's Office, and DEP. The focus of the meeting was to discuss issues involving the methods of service connections to the sewers when completed, due to the special nature of various property configurations in this area. New Scanning Project - Mapping and Records Unit; Citywide Plan DEP has begun work on a scanning project which was responsible for last year's Drainage scanning of records and scanning project.
