RE: Status Update and Prioritization of Environmental Review Projects
I have asked the Mayor's Office of Environmental Coordination (MOEC) to update the City's database of environmental review projects. This work is being undertaken in order to assist the Mayor's Office and Alessandra Sumowicz, Director of MOEC, in prioritizing projects requiring City environmental review or involving City participation in state or federal environmental review.
As you know, MOEC is required by the City Charter to be the repository of official documents and important information about all City projects requiring review under City Environmental Quality Review (CEQR), the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). I am requesting your cooperation to ensure that MOEC has a current record of all such projects in which your agency or office is involved.
Attached is a printout of the portion of MOEC's database that lists your agency's or office's past and present projects. Please update and/or correct the information contained in the printout and provide the requested information for any projects not reflected in the database. This information should be provided for CEQR projects for which your agency is lead agency and for any SEQRA and NEPA projects in which your agency in involved. MOEC must receive this information by November 29, 2000.
The information requested is largely self-explanatory. Please feel free to contact Lee Ilan of MOEC at lilan(@cityhall.nyc.gov or (212) 788-2929 if you have any questions about the requested information. With respect to the "Timeframe/Priority" column, please indicate both the approximate date you expect the environmental review to be
