RE: Lower Manhattan Redevelopment Corporation
We urge the Lower Manhattan Redevelopment Corporation to utilize the expertise of the Art Commission in the reconstruction of downtown Manhattan and in the process of designing of a memorial to the victims of the World Trade Center attacks. As an experienced design review agency within the Mayor's office, the Commission can serve as a resource to safeguard the interests of New York City (see attached memo, "Why the Art Commission is More Important Than Ever.")
