Dear Mayor Giuliani:
Please accept our sincei the tragic events and loss of life at the
World Trade Center. Your ship throughout this tragedy has been
an inspiration to us all.
Having just returned font a sales visit to Europe, I also wish to extend the
sympathy and support of many tour operators worldwide. I aria pleased to advise you
that they have all unhesitantly pledged to work with us in helping restore tourism to
New York.
On Tuesday, September 25`h, I will meet with. our Secretary of Commerce,
Don Evans to propose plans for "jump starting" tourism to America. Following that
meeting, I will come to New York on Wednesday, September 26Th, I would like to
meet with you or your designee and volunteer assisting the State of New York and
New York City to help develop and execute a plan for economic recovery through
tourism. "Tourism will overcome terrorism!"
I look forward to hearing from you and to working with you to restore
economic stability and opportunity for the citizens of New York and of our great
Nation!
