'sewer. The wash room shall be utilized to wash down the single ACM bags, to the double bags; also
workers, after removing their outer disposable suits in the work area, shall proceed to the wash room; the
inner disposable suit shall be removed, and the worker shall shower in the shower room.
c. Installation of Critical Barriers.
All vents, skylights, air intakes, windows and door openings onto the roof, and all other openings will be
'sealed with 2 layers of 6 mil plastic sheeting.
d Installation of Foam (Foam - Viscous Agent).
Upon completion of the critical barriers sequence, the removal foam will be applied in this manner: water
hoses will be connected to the houses water supply. Hoses from'the house supply will be installed onto a
compressor, which will be located on the roof.
The connection from the compressor will be installed into the five gallon bucket of foam. Once the water
is turn on, the compressor will mix the product into an effective foam; this foam shall be applied to
flashing and the membrane and the removal process'will'begin. '
e. Removal of Roofmg/Flashin 'ar MateriaL
All roofing/flashing to be removed by manuals tool; no power tools will be used unless equipped with
IIEPA exhaust system. As the material is removed in manageable pieces, these pieces will be put into a
single disposable bag, and sealed using water resistant tape. The membrane shall be foamed and cut using
a roof cutter equipped with a HEPA exhaust system or with manual tools.
f. Clean Up.
As removal is continuing, all areas shall be HEPA vacuumed and misted down using amended water, to
ensure no loose debris is present.
g. Storage Of Single Bags On The Roof.
A drop cloth consisting of two layers of 6 mil fire retardant polyethylene sheeting shall be installed on the
roof. As the disposable bags are filled and closed using water resistant duct tape, the bags will then be
placed on the drop cloth until the bags out sequence begins (prior to the end of each shift).
h. Bag-Out Sequence.
Prior to the completion of each shift, the single disposable bag will be brought over to the remote
decontamfnation unit (wash room). where the bags shall be wetted down and placed into an additional 6
mil disposable bag. The'second disposable will
be secured withwater
duct tape, labeled and
resistant
brought down to the waste container by means of a hoist, the put into the waste container for storage until
the completion of work.
g. Tear down.
Upon completion of each work area and acceptable visual clearance, all critical barriers will be removed
and disposed of as ACM and shall follow the same bag out sequence as mentioned above.
