Abatement of (18,074 Sq. Ft) of Roofing/Flashing/Tar Material . We shall comply with attachment PR and R We are requesting a variance from the following subsections: Section 1-410: During abatement air sampling inside work area. Section 1-41(d): No post abatement clearance air monitoring. Section 1-81(1): No pre-cleaning of the work area(s). Section 1-81(m): Partial plasticization of the work area. Section I-82(a) & 1-83(a): Remote decontamination facilities. Section 1-91: No negative air. Section-1-102(b): Not to fully saturate ACRM with amended water. Section 1-112(d) Sc 1-112(e): No 1st and 2nd settling period and no 2nd and 3rd cleaning.

Work Procedures a. Posting of Signs "Danger Asbestos" warning signs, in English, Spanish, and the language spoken by the crew members, will be posted at all entrances to the working area. b. Installation of Remote Worker Decontamination U,iiL This will be installed on the roof as outlined on the variance request This remote unit will be installed using three chambers divided by two air locks consisting of shower and a clean room,•and wash room for wet washing of the bags. This unit will also be fully sheathed inside and outside using two (2) layers of six mil fire retardant polyurethane sheeting, and two six mil reinforced polyurethane on the floor of the decontamination unit The clean room will include shelves, and clean sealable plastic bags for storage of clean clothes; the decontamination unit shall contain shelves for storage of respirators, towels, respirators filters, and others personal protective equipment. The shower room shall contain liquid soap & shampoo, and disposable towels. Shower water shall be drained, collected and filtered through a water filtration system.
