structure concentration per square centimeter of surface area (s/cm2). The publication
"Advances in Environmental Measurement Methods for Asbestos" prepared by the ASTM
Committee D-22 on Sampling Analysis of "Atmospheres in conjunction with the Environmental
Information Association references the following guidelines pertaining to asbestos in surface
dust.
<1,000 s/cm2 indicates low level
>10,000 s/cm2 indicates above general background level
>100,000 s/cm2 indicates high level
Laboratory analysis found no asbestos fibers present in 14 of the 16 samples collected.
Chrysotile was detected in 2 samples, however results indicate low level concentrations below
the stated "low level" criteria of 1,000 s/cm2. Analytical results are shown below in Table 2.

Lead Surface Sampling
PSI collected 8 representative surface wipe samples from alternate floors from within the North
and South Buildings and 8 representative air samples from each of eight of the Trailers on
January 31g, 2001. Surface wipe samples were analyzed by EPA Method SW846-7420.
Results indicate all sample concentrations are below the EPA Leaded Dust Level Criteria of 40
micrograms per square foot for floor surfaces. The analytical results of lead surface testing are
summarized in Table 3 below.
