Air" Sampling for Total Dust PSI collected 7 representative air samples on January 3l , 2002, one from each of six of the Trailers and one from a nearby outside area. Samples were collected and analyzed by NIOSH Method 0500 to determine ambient or background airborne total dust concentrations. Total dust concentrations ranged from 0.022 mg/m3 to 0.751 mg/m3, which are below the OSHA limit of 15 mg/rn3 and the ACGIH limit of 10 mg/m3. Analytical results are shown below in Table 5.

Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) Measurement of total VOC's is used to determine general quality of air associated with the level of volatile organic compounds. PSI collected 17 samples for volatile organic compounds using a MINTRAE 2000, direct reading photoionization detector on January 31', 2002. Samples were collected within the North Building, the South Building and Trailers. An outside air background sample was also collected. The Indoor Air Quality Association (Standard IAQA #95-1) recommends levels be maintained at or below 3.0 ppm for acceptable indoor air quality. The data indicated that total VOC's were not detected in 13 of the areas sampled. VOC's were detected ii 4 of the samples, however at a concentration of 0.1 ppm the levels are below the IAQA guideline. Please refer to Table 6 for measured results.
