I entered the premise at 11:15 pm. LVI schedule informed that activities include:
Clear floor, scrape fireproofing, load out on r‘floor.
I proceeded to the decon, signed the log book, don the appropriate level of personal
protective equipment to enter the regulated area on 1®*floor. Three workers were present
for the decon maintenance, cleaning the shower chambers and organizing the clean room.
Negative air pressure was -0.048.
r* Floor - 33 Asbestos Handlers were present inside the work area.
Workers on scissor lift in the hallway near “B” stairwell were cutting conduit; scraping fireproofing
at the area 4, spraying with amended water, picking up debris from the floor, washing and
cleaning ceiling, beams, plastic at the north side area. Workers at the north side waste decon
were sweeping the floor using HEPA vacuum.
At the north/west side corner of the work area two workers on scaffolds were cutting and removing
the metal panels from the beam using equipment equipped with HEPA filters, spraying the area
with amended water.
Others were cutting metal into the pieces at the west side vestibule near former mechanical room,
placing into the boxes and spraying; preparing, wrapping and loading out sealed and sprayed
boxes through the north side waste decon.
11 Gaylord boxes were ready for load out and 8 boxes still open. 35 micro trap machines were
powered on and 5 on stand by. Inspection was done on micro trap tents.
I observed two damaged exhaust ducts at the south side vestibule: main layer of one exhaust duct
was broken; the other exhaust duct had a hole. Handler Supervisor was advised,
and he immediately directed workers to repair exhaust ducts.
After follovizing the decontamination procedure I signed the log book and left the decon.
Inspection was done on ATC trailer.
