Re: 100 Church Street - Second and Third Floor Computer/Printers - Dust Sampling Results
Dear Mr. Mills:
TRC Engineers, Inc. (TRC) conducted sampling and analysis of dust inside the computers and printers on the Second and Third floors of 100 Church Street. The intent of the sampling was to determine representative conditions inside computers and printers.
A total of eight (8) microvacuum samples were collected of the dust in the equipment on those floors and samples were analyzed for asbestos. Sampling and analysis of internal dust was conducted following the American Society for Testing and Materials Standard Test Method for Microvacuum Sampling and Indirect Analysis of Dust by Transmission Electron Microscopy for Asbestos Structure Number Concentration (ASTM 5755-95). The results of these asbestos microvacuum samples are presented in attached Table 1.
Laboratory Data and Field Data Forms are included as an Attachment to this Report.
Results of asbestos ASTM 5575 microvacuiun sampling indicate that asbestos was detected in all eight dust samples. Dust concentrations ranged from 2,140 to structures per square centimeter (s/cm2) to 240,155 s/cm2. Therefore the internal dust within the computers on the second and third floor was found to contain asbestos.
Should you have any questions or require any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact us at 212 268-9080.
Very truly yours, TRC Engineers Inc.
