Re: Report of Ongoing Air Monitoring Performed On January 9,2003
TRC Project Number: 35052-0000-00011
Dear Mr. Mills:
TRC Engineers, Inc. (TRC) performed air monitoring on January 9, 2003 in the space occupied
by New York City Law Department and exterior to 100 Church Street as part of the ongoing air-
inonitoring program.
Representative samples for carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, temperature, relative humidity,
asbestos and lead in air were collected inside the building on the 2 , 3**, 4*, 5^, 6*, 20'^ floors
and outside the building on the roof and at the southwest comer.
Results were below the analytical detection limit and all were below (i.e., better than) the
respective Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Permissible Exposure Limit
(PEL). A copy of the test results along with OSHA permissible exposure limits for detected
parameters is attached.
The results of this on-going sampling effort support and confirm TRC’s recommendation in the
April 8,2002 Environmental Health Risk Assessment report to reoccupy the space.
Should you have any questions or comments, please feel tree to contact us at (212) 221-7822.
Sincerely,
TRC ENGINEERS, INC.
