The Anti S) phon Valve should be removed from the pump suction pipe A cheek valve should be installed as close lo the tank inlet as possible. This check valve will help ke jp the suction line primed (A review of the existing job files for tliis particular building die not confirm the existence of a foot valve in (he supply line). One item I lid not notice was whether all of the pump sets had check valves on ihcir respective; action pipe. If not, I recommend installation of a chock, valve on each. This w ill preven the siphoning effect from any of the sets when any one or more of the units arc in the n n mode. ' I The 2 ' suci io-T pipe diameter is sulTicient for the smaller pump sets (total 1.189 GPH) during non lal till operation, as well as the tenant tank fill pump set (1.900 GPH). We supplied in crlccks on our tenant tank fill pump set to prevent the pump .sot from fonctioning smmiuneously with (he other sets. This will reduce the required diameter for ihc suction pipe. The existing 2" supply line will require approximately 11.24“ Hg. of lift for the eith x the tenet set or the three .smaller sets combined.
