G. Develop and Mainuin Communication Cabling System Construction Drawings
The entire communication cabling system must be documented in a way that is compatible with architectural and engineering submittals for construction design purposes. The activities listed here are those that will integrate foe communication cabling system and supporting elements into the construction documents. SM&W will use background drawings and communication outlet locations prepared by the architects and engineers to develop a separate set of drawings labeled “Communication Cabling” created in AutoCAD R13c4a or R14 format. These drawings coupled with the system’s technical specification documents will present a complete package to the cabling system bidders and installers.
2. Develop Communication Cabling System Design Drayvings (59% CD level)
l.l Assemble all communication outlet locations by floor and prepare spreadsheets for each floor listing an outlet profile (e.g., outlet number, type, room number, special features, etc.) 1.2 Assign communication outlet numbers to each designated location on the drawings. 1.3 Compile communication outlet specific data (e.g., type of outlet, special mounting requirements, cable distribution method, etc.) 1.4 Prepare 50% CD drawings communication outlet layer for review and comment.
Z Develop Communication Cabling System Design Drawings (209% CD level)
2.1 Update all drawings to reflect comments and modification to 50% CD documents. 2.2 Update communication outlet spreadsheets to reflect comments and modifications to 50% CD documents. 2.3 Review 100% CO drawings with all project team members responsible for any component of the communication system and consolidate final comments on these drawings.
3. Devehp Commumcation Cahling System Design Drmvings (Bid Issue)
3.1 Prepare final set of drawings to be issued with the communication cabling system technical bid package incorporating final comments and changes to 100% CD issue. 3.2 Review these final drawings with the project team and obtain final sign-ofiT on these drawings.
