"Circuitry" - Any electric work (not limited to light and power distribution)
which consists of wires, cables, raceways, and/or specialty wiring method
assemblies taken all together complete with associated junction boxes, pull boxes,
outlet boxes, joints, couplings, splices and connections except where limited to a
lesser meaning by specific description.
"Wiring" - Same as Circuitry.
"Circuit" - Any specific run of circuitry.
3. Reference to "U.L. (Materials Construction) Standards" shall mean the
"Standards for Safety," published by Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. (Main
Office: 333 Pfingsten Road, Northbrook, Illinois 60062).
4. Reference to "NEMA Standards" shall mean the "Approved Standards" published
by the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (Main Office: 2101 "L"
Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20037).
5. Reference to "ANSI Standards" shall mean the standards published by the
American National Standards Institute (Main Office: Twenty East Fortieth Street,
New York, New York 10016).
6. Reference to "AEIC Specifications" shall mean the specifications published by the
Association of Edison Illuminating Companies (Main Office: Fifty-one East
Forty-second Street, New York, New York 10017).
7. Reference to " ASTM" specifications shall mean the specifications published by
the American Society for Testing and Materials (Main Office: 1916 Race Street,
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19103).
8. Items and installation methods as described in the drawings and specifications for
electrical work are to be used only under normal electric work conditions as
hereinafter described unless there are specific notations to the contrary.
9. Items and installation methods as described in the drawings and specifications for
electrical work are to be used only at less than 600 volts unless there are specific
noutions to the contrary.
