Responsibilities As security and fire systems specialist, Mr. Hutchinson is responsible for concepts, engi
neering and design supervision for instrumentation, information/communications/life safety
and security systems.

been an instructor for fire alarm and security systems design and application for an evening
graduate class at Hahnemann University.

J.P. Morgan Services Inc., Stanton, DE
A 300,000 SF facility containing computer operations and computer support functions. Di
rect engineering and design responsibility included a 700-point direct digital, distributed
processing control energy management system used to control facility chillers, air-handling
equipment and pumping systems, a 620-zone life safety system using voice communication,
a card access system consisting of 125 card readers and an extensive microprocessor-based
CCTV system with 30 cameras and 26 system monitors.

Master plan and design of a 1,800,000 SF corporate campus located on a 276-acre tract. The
architectural concept of this project is that of a working village of conference rooms, offices,
computer facilities, housing for 365 persons at a time, recreational areas, parking, and open
spaces. The main thoroughfare, an enclosed pedestrian walkway, connects to smaller av
enues that lead to major buildings. This rural-suburban setting suites the client's wishes for
a corporate image that complements and respects the environment. Access flooring and task
lighting, used throughout the office complex, lend maximum flexibility for relocating per
sonnel and power and communications systems. The Phase 11,000,000 SF conference/training
facility includes 15,000 SF of raised-floor area for computers and telecommunications. The
state-of-the-art conference/seminar rooms and 316-seat auditorium incorporate presenta
tion capability for large and small groups. The facility offers a full-scale indoor fitness center,
various types of dining facilities, and sleeping accommodations. The Phase II addition con
sists of 350,000 SF of office space and is now under construction.
Exxon Corporation, Communications and Computer Sciences Center, Florham Park, NJ
A 265,000 SF computer center containing 28,000 SF of computer operations area with raised
floors throughout. Two utility feeds, 60-HZ and 415-HZ UPS systems, and three 1070-KW
emergency generators provide backup for the critical electrical systems.
