Relevant International Monetary Fund, Headquarters Office Building, Washington, DC Experience/ Architectural, engineering, and interior design and construction administration for this Qualifications 1,066,000 SF headquarters which houses eating areas, offices, executive suites, business and (confd.) legal libraries, board rooms, lounges, and conference rooms. Beneath the building is a con­ course level housing several service functions and a four-story parking garage accommodating 800 cars. The Joint Computer Center servicing the needs of the Fund is also located in the concourse. The 265,000 SF Phase II addition was completed in 1983. Complete fire alarm system renovation curently underway (800 zones). TKLP is now completing mas­ ter site and space planning for a proposed l(X),000 SF computer facility and the Phase III addition of 410,000 SF.

Sterling Winthrop Inc., Pharmaceuticals Research Division, Upper Providence Township, PA A complete security analysis and design for this 1300,000 SF pharmaceutical R&D complex. The project includ^ threat analysis and thorough technical review of security alarm, CCTV, and manufacturers' card access equipment to determine what was best suited to the project. Magnetic stripe, proximity, and Weigand card access technologies were considered. In addition to a complete security communications center, system equipment included 71 CCTV cameras with fiber optic video transmission, 100 card readers, and remote control of exterior gates. Guardian Life Insurance Company, Regional Headquarters, Spokane, WA A/E design, documentation, and construction administration for a three-story 200,0(X) SF office building to be built in two phases of 100,000 SF each. The design, which includes open office space, a cafeteria, and a computer room, provides for optimum flexibility in office planning by including access flooring with modular office partitions and furniture through­ out the facilities.

Guardian Life Insurance Company, Regional Headquarters, Appleton, A./E design, documentation, and construction administration for a three-story 200,000 SF office building to be built in two phases of 100,000 SF each. The design, which includes open office space, a cafeteria, and a computer room, provides for optimum flexibility in office planning by including access flooring with modular office partitions and furniture through­ out the facilities.

Exxon Production Research Company, Houston, TX A 1,100,000 SF complex containing research and development laboratories, administrative office and training and computer facilities. Responsibilities included engineering a design of multiplex life safety equipment, card access system, a large multi-camera CCTV system and an exterior perimeter site microwave system. Data communications for the above sys­ tems were engineered using state-of-the-art fiber optic technology due to complex size and losses normally involved with multiplex and RF transmission using coaxial cable. As with other projects, Mr. Hutchinson was responsible for original scope development, and for leading all interdiscipline coordination for HVAC, electrical fire protection and mechanical design as related to sprinkler, halon and air-handling systems that are interfaced with the life safety system.

IBM Office Products Division Headquarters, Franklin Lakes, NJ This project involved a 300,000 SF (Phase II) addition designed for energy conservation. It is situated so that indirect sunlight reduces artificial light requirements and reduces the amount of energy needed to maintain the addition. The Phase I building contained a large computer facility which required an unusually large cooling system. This system was engineered so that the recovery of the large volume of 105° water could be used to heat the new addition. Societies American Society for Industrial Security
