Containment and Disposal Method (Drilling Equipment)

Drilling tools will be decontaminated in a 55 gallon DOT approved drum that is placed within a sheet plastic lined containment area. The drill head will be steam cleaned by parking the drill rig over the containment area. A 55-gallon drum will be placed under the drill head to collect the cleaning fluids. Any fluids that are not collected by the drum and are retained by the plastic lined containment area will be pumped into a 55-gallon drum. Wastes generated will be stored in the approved on-site waste storage area pending analyses of the contents of the drums. Upon receipt of analyses.
